Special CVS Discounts for Members

We'd like to inform you of a great new discount program for members when they shop at CVS retail stores. Through this program, members can receive 20% off the purchase price* of CVS store-brand, nonprescription, health-related items that may be eligible for reimbursement from flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs), and health savings accounts (HSAs), including:

• Ibuprofen
• allergy relief items
• nasal decongestants

Later this summer, most Tufts Health Plan members with pharmacy coverage will receive a new CVS Caremark ExtraCare Health Card. At the time of the mailing, members can visit www.tuftshealthplan.com, and click on the ExtraCare Health Card image for a list of eligible categories of items available for discount.

If a member already has an ExtraCare Card, the new card can replace it. By using the new card, members will receive all of the same rewards included in the ExtraCare program, in addition to this 20% discount.

Please note that member privacy is important to Tufts Health Plan and CVS Caremark - purchases will be confidential and will not be shared with any second party, including Tufts Health Plan.

*The 20% discount is restricted to regular/non-sale items purchased for the medical care of the cardholder or covered dependents. Excludes alcohol, gift cards, lottery, money orders, prescriptions, postage stamps, pre-paid cards, tobacco products, photo finishing and CVS.com® purchases and are not valid on other items reimbursed by a governmental program. The FSA summary of the receipt includes the items (and tax) that may be eligible for reimbursement from an FSA/HRA/HSA plan. Plan restrictions may apply.
