FWA Training for Medicare Providers

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is no longer requiring health plans to provide annual Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) training for providers.

CMS has determined that Medicare providers have already met FWA training requirements through enrollment into the Medicare program or accreditation as a Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies supplier.

Although the online FWA Medicare Training is no longer mandatory, Tufts Health Plan Medicare Preferred appreciates your continuing cooperation in the prevention, detection and reporting of suspected FWA.
