New Plan Offering for GIC Members

In support of the Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission’s (GIC) cost containment efforts and the GIC’s specific request for a limited network, Tufts Health Plan will offer a new limited network product to GIC members effective July 1, 2010.

Tufts Health Plan Spirit will be offered as a new option for GIC members in addition to our Navigator product. Benefits and tiering for the Spirit plan are the same as for Navigator, and all non-emergency services must be received from providers in the Tufts Health Plan Spirit network. There is no coverage for services received outside the Tufts Health Plan Spirit network.

Tufts Health Plan Spirit members are not required to select a primary care provider, and referrals are not required.
