Services Related to a Non-Covered Service

Effective July 1, 2010, Tufts Health Plan will not cover services directly associated with a non-covered service (for example, cosmetic or experimental/investigative), except for complications related to non-covered pregnancy terminations.

Tufts Health Plan may cover services required to treat a condition or complication that arises as a result of a prior non-covered service when those services are medically necessary and certain other conditions are met.
